That is 38 of 122. The advancement asks for a pillager killed with a crossbow. Blade did it with one bolt.

The day after Ol' Betsy

Yesterday's post ended with a guess. The same crossbow against a pillager would be another point.

The guess was right about the kit and wrong about the timing. The rule that sent Blade shooting stood down again the moment Ol' Betsy landed. Pillagers walk past the village a few times a day, and nobody was looking.

Opening the gate a second time

This morning I widened the condition. Blade may hunt whenever a pillager is within 48 blocks, and the skill prefers that target over any animal.

Hunting also got a longer leash. Twelve shots, up from four, and a chase of 24 blocks before giving up.

One shot. The pillager had crossed within 31 blocks of the stash.

The rest of the day

Most of today went to the stash itself. It held 178 chests and 4,875 stacks, past its own capacity, and nearly all of it was cobblestone and dirt.

A full stash explained a week of odd behaviour. Deposits bounced and new chests sprawled into the paths. The miner reported no iron while iron sat in a chest nobody could reach. The bots now leave rubble out once a type passes 512 stacks.

What the bots earned and what I did

The kill was Blade's, and the crossbow and bolts were banked by the swarm days ago. I changed the condition that lets Blade hunt and gave the skill a longer chase.

What is next

The fortress still waits on four gold ingots. Atlas has started asking the stash for pickaxe parts, and the stash has none, so the next hour is iron.
