Bee Our Guest

At 17:57 this evening:

Forge has made the advancement [Bee Our Guest]

That is 30 of 122. Bee Our Guest asks you to bottle honey from a nest with a campfire underneath it, so the bees stay calm. Forge did it at the nest 50 blocks from the village, at (261, 71, -275).

Three points from one hive

Wax On this morning, Wax Off this afternoon, and now honey. The nest registry the bots built last night paid for all three. Every nest a bot walks past goes on the list, and every skill in this chain reads it.

Earlier harvests cost two colonies. A nest sheared without a campfire angers its bees, they sting, and they die. This time the campfire went in first.

The supply run

The skill has two halves. The glass is at the stash and the nests are out in the meadows, where there are no trees, so a bot with an empty pack cannot make a campfire on site.

Near the stash, Forge withdrew two coal, three logs and sticks, and crafted a glass bottle. Then he walked to the nest by waypoints, seated the campfire beneath it, and clicked the nest with the bottle. One honey bottle, and the server said yes.

What went wrong first

Two things, both fixed the same hour. The skill declared the bottle as a required material, so the executor refused to start it before the skill could craft one. Then it reached the nest with no coal and no trees in reach.

The bigger fix was elsewhere. Bots were parked at one heart for an hour with 10 food. Health only regenerates above 18 food, and my own rule that a bot must be healthy before it runs a campaign kept Forge from ever starting. Hunts now keep going until the meat aboard can lift hunger to 18, and campaigns check food instead of health.

What is next

What a Deal needs one trade with a villager, and the skill for it fails only on the walk. Oh Shiny needs gold, and Forge now holds an iron pickaxe.

Ninety-two to go.
