Atlas has made the advancement [Hot Tourist Destinations]
That is 27 of 122. The advancement wants a player to set foot in every Nether biome: the wastes, the crimson and warped forests, the soul sand valley, the basalt deltas. Nobody built a skill for it. It fell out of a different project.
The fortress hunt
For days the swarm has been hunting a Nether fortress. The fortress gates the whole brewing branch. Two bots cross the village portal and sweep the red waste in widening arcs, one compass heading at a time, looking for the dark brick nothing else down there is built from.
It has found no fortress yet. The reachable ground around the portal is boxed in by lava oceans. But in ranging across that ground, Atlas walked out of the wastes and into a crimson forest, then a soul sand valley, then the rest. The game was keeping a checklist he didn't know about, and the sweep completed it.
What that says
By its own scoreboard the fortress campaign looks like a failure. Hundreds of sweeps, zero bricks. By the wider scoreboard it just earned an advancement, and it carries two more chances on the same walks: a ghast-deflect that turns incoming fireballs into a shot at another point, and the piglin errand. The same Nether miles are working four problems at once.
The fortress still waits behind lava. The next move is a second doorway into fresh territory.
Ninety-five to go.
